Hope. There is something we can do to have hope. Is hope really that important? Martin Luther said that everything that is done in the world is done by hope. John Lubbock said that hope should be classed as virtue, along with faith and character. Alexander said that hope is the true inheritance of all that resolve upon great enterprises. We could also think of it in this light: A person without hope will take no action. The student who has no hope of passing will not study; the salesperson with no hope of making the sale won't make the call. Hope is the starting point for accomplishment.

Competition Vs Cooperation

The choice is to work alone to be a little more successful than the next person,or to work together for the great betterment of humanity. Moreover, Cooperation is less stressful than competition. Do you ever  question why our educational system teaches competition rather than cooperation?

Know Your Priorities

It’s essential to keep in mind what matters most to you. People often take too many tasks and end up doing slipshod work or not finishing the job. 

One way to keep everything in line is to make lists.

Before going to sleep, make a list of things you know are absolutely essential. This summarizes the next day’s important activities.

Simplicity is the best policy, so try and keep things as simple as possible. Make the list on paper. You can put it on your computer or PDA in the morning, which will refresh your memory and give you direction. Keep it short. Too many goals will drain your energy.

Schedule time for FUN

When you’re busy and your schedule is packed, you can forget to schedule time for fun into your calendar. Make it a habit to look ahead and block out regular time for family dinners, trips to the park, visits with friends, seeing a funny movie, and doing fun things alone and with others. Having fun keeps you healthy,happy, and rejuvenated. 

Never Give Up

A fishing boat overturned and a very fit 22 year old football player died. BUT, his 68 year old grandmother survived.

Afterwards they interviewed the grandmother and asked "how was it that your grandson who was so much fitter died?"

And she goes " I wasn't going to give up".

"I was NOT going to die".You got to have a fierce will to live.You just got to never give up.The WILL to survive is the most critical thing.For us to make it through we must never give up.

There is no substitute for hard work

Now-a-days there are many people who have introduced the concept of ‘smart work’ rather than ‘hard work’. Though in certain situations it is true that smart work helps but the age old saying that ‘there is no substitute for hard work’ remains applicable even today.  It is hard work that leads a child to attain knowledge and perform well. Be it his hobby, his passion or his academic, without hard work, the fruits of success are far away. There are so many people who have brilliant ideas but because of laziness they do not execute their ideas and thus lose out on so many opportunities.Hence hard work and ideating both are equally important for success!
